Our human interface with reality

An old Cherokee told his grandson that a battle goes on inside each us. “The battle is between two ‘wolves.’
One ‘wolf’ is Evil. It has anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other ‘wolf’ is Good. It has joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

We create a model of the world in our mind.
It is incomplete and partly out of date, like an old school globe

It is our “Youniverse” (It sounds like “Universe”; We cannot tell the difference)

Memories and Recollections:

Our mind creates continuous stories to make sense of our discrete memories
Even when the sensed reality does not “make sense”

Fascinating interview with Jim Coan, the man who did the very first “Lost in the Mall” false memory experiment 25 years ago:

Good article by Jonas Ellison in Medium, on using writing as a tool to change the story of your past, present and future:
